Some of the members of ARK started out as foster parents and volunteers with the local shelter. They would spend time away from their families and go to Petsmart or Petco in an attempt to adopt out cats and dogs to loving families. They expected nothing in return, just the satisfaction of knowing they helped to save a life. Even though working with the shelter was rewarding, they felt they could do more. So a couple members decided they would start their own rescue group.

On January of 2006, ARK was born. We used this symbol for a reason. Like Noah and his ARK, we are trying to rescue and save these animals and give them a second chance to live. But unlike Noah our animals are not being rescued from water, they are being rescued from time, which some shelter animals have very little of. Many cats and dogs are dying everyday needlessly, because some shelters are so full and to make room for more animals, many adoptable cats and dog will have to die (its unfortunate, but the shelters have limited space, this is when they call the rescue groups for their help).
 
That's were we come in. We go to the local shelters and find the dogs and cats that have been there for a while. We remove them and foster them out of our homes. We make every effort and try to insure the animals we foster are in good health. We have them Spayed or Neutered, and when we feel they are ready, we take them to PetSmart in Temecula and PetSmart in Murrieta to be adopted, along with dogs and cats that owners relinquish to us. 

For some of our members, this is a full time job with no pay. What little money we receive from adoption fees goes directly back into the company to pay to remove more animals from the local shelters, medical expenses (Spay and Neuter fees, immunizations, medication and Veterinarian cost), food, litter, etc. 

We know we cannot save them all, but if we are able to save one, that's one more animal that will have a chance to live a full and happy life and we need your help to do this.(You can be part of the Solution).
